Reading .ang files

Posted by Shyam Kumar at May 20. 2019

I am trying to read the .ang files of th-1 dataset. I used bload or binaryload function to open the file. However, the data is not in the range from 0 to 2*pi, as mentioned in the description file. Any idea what's going on?

Thanks in advance

Shyam

Dear Shyam,

Sorry to hear you're having troubles reading the ang files. The 2nd column of the file should indeed be distributed between 0 and 2*pi, with -1 values when animal's head-direction was not properly detected. The first column is time.

Could you indicate us which session you have analyzed and what the data look like exactly?

Thank you.

Best,

Adrien

Dear Adrien,

Thanks for the reply.  I was able to open the .ang files. But I don't find the time information in the file (1st column). Do you know how to calculate the time stamps for each angle data?

I am looking at session Mouse24-131213.

Best,

Shyam

Hello,

This is surprising, my local copy of the file is in the right format. Let me see if something went wrong during data uploading.

Best,

Adrien
