DOI assigned to data hosted at CRCNS.org
Data sets hosted at CRCNS.org are assigned a DOI (Document Object Identifier).
A DOI allows the data to be cited in a standard manner in publications of data users as well as in the CVs of data contributors. Instructions for citing each data set is given in the "About" page for the data set.
The DOIs are created using DataCite (www.datacite.org) and the California Digital Library, "EZID" system (n2t.net/ezid/). The page http://www.datacite.org/whycitedata has information about the benefits of citing data and the format for citations.
