About bf-1

Description of dataset bf-1 (Basal Forebrain 1).

Summary of the data

The dataset contains LFP recordings from rats (wild type rattus norvegicus) obtained under two conditions (a) resting condition while animal is in home cage; (b) exploration of novel arena. Data is from waking state only and contains no sleep epochs.  The experiments, data and analysis are described in:

Basal forebrain contributes to default mode network regulation.  Jayakrishnen Nair, Arndt-Lukas Klaassen, Jozsef Arato, Alexei L. Vyssotski, Michael Harvey, Gregor Rainer.  PNAS (2018) doi:10.1073/pnas.1712431115

Format of the data

The data is stored in Matlab files, one for each recording. Within each Matlab file the data is organized using structures that are included in the document crcns_bf-1_data_description.pdf. Total data size is about 3M.
